It’s been another amazing year at KontrolFreek, and it wouldn’t have been possible without you, FreekNation! As we look forward to 2018, we wanted to take a moment to look back at some of our biggest moments and greatest accomplishments from 2017.

KontrolFreek Goes the Distance

If you lined up every thumbstick we shipped this year, you would have over 84,480 feet in length! That’s 16 miles (25.7 kilometers) of thumbsticks! We never thought we would send over a half-marathon’s worth of thumbsticks in one year, and we are looking forward to seeing that distance go even further in 2018!

FreekNation Rewards for Everyone

There are several ways to save when you buy KontrolFreek gear, but we like to reward our customers with FreekNation Rewards Points for every order they make, and also just for being awesome. This year, we gave out over 12 million FreekNation points! That’s A LOT of savings, so make sure you remember you have them in 2018.

For the Kids!

KontrolFreek participated in Extra Life this year for the 3rd time straight. We put ourselves through the ringer as several members of our team stayed up for 24 hours to stream and help raise money and awareness for Extra Life. This year, we managed to exceed our goal, as we raised over $5,000 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals! It feels great to be part of such a good cause, and we hope you will join and participate with us for Extra Life 2018.

Yeah…We Kinda Like Pizza

Every Wednesday at the KontrolFreek office, we take a moment to unwind, check out some of the newest games and most importantly, eat a ton of pizza. Our team has grown this year and we managed to beat last year’s record of 2,000 slices. This year, the KontrolFreek office managed to eat (drumroll please) 2,946 slices of pizza! We will have to wait and see if our gluttony counter goes up this coming year, but we are pretty confident we can beat that number.

We’ve got Boots on the Ground and a Head in the Stars
This year has been host to 2 incredible first-person-shooters, and we are happy to have been able to partner with Bungie, Activision and SledgeHammer games to make some awesome licensed thumbsticks for some of the biggest games of the year. This year we released FPS Freek Call of Duty: WWII for the latest chapter in Call of Duty, and KontrolFreek Destiny 2: Ghost for Destiny 2.

Join the Infantry Division

Not only did we partner with Activision and SledgeHammer games to create a set of performance thumbsticks, specifically designed for Call of Duty: WWII, but you can also unlock an exclusive calling card for your game. We are pumped for this opportunity, and we look forward to bringing you more ways to enhance and customize your gameplay in 2018.

Not to sound like a broken record, but we’ve had a pretty amazing year and we owe it all to you! These are just a few of the many accomplishments our team managed to complete this year, and we can’t wait for 2018 so we keep innovating and providing FreekNation with the best gaming gear available.
