On April 3, 2020, Atlanta-based performance gaming gear creator, KontrolFreek, pledged that 100 percent of KontrolFreek.com sales made that day would be donated to a series of key local, national and global COVID-19 relief efforts. In celebration of #GivingTuesdayNow, a global generosity movement on May 5, 2020, KontrolFreek announced which carefully-considered non-profit organizations it’s supporting with those donations.

• Giving Kitchen: To support the local community during this pandemic, KontrolFreek is donated $10,000 to Giving Kitchen, an Atlanta-based nonprofit organization dedicated to providing emergency assistance to food service workers in need. The donation benefited the Giving Kitchen’s Giving Tuesday campaign, which aimed to raise $20,000.

• COV-AID: KontrolFreek also partnered with local partners like Skillshot Media to support and help produce COV-AID™, a massive, multi-platform, one-day online charity event that occurred on May 5, 2020 at 1 p.m. EDT / 10 a.m. PDT. The event featured more than 10 hours of content showcasing popular gamers, athletes, artists, and other personalities streamed across top social game-streaming platforms, including Twitch, YouTube, Mixer, Twitter and Facebook. All proceeds supported Americares and Boys & Girls Clubs of America relief efforts related to the novel coronavirus pandemic. 

• The World Health Organization: With KontrolFreek’s community being global in scale, the company also contributed to WHO’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. This donation went toward the activities of WHO’s Strategic Preparedness and Response Plan, which include but are not limited to ensuring patients get the care they need, purchasing essential supplies and accelerating efforts to develop vaccines, tests and treatments.
