Verdansk is back! Over 5 years have passed since players once dropped in from the skies into Verdansk which has now returned this April, completely rebuilt. Targeting any dormant Warzone players Activision is looking to feed off of any nostalgia with the return of Verdansk but has also put in a ton of effort to make this new map a true upgrade for anyone who experienced the original map. I am enjoying the rush of adrenaline you get when conquering a 1v1 in the gulag to return to action, which in my opinion, is the best way to win your way back in any BR. Another major update along with the map is that 1 shot sniping is back, so for those who love the satisfaction of a cross-map snipe or want to ruin a player’s day with your accuracy, definitely hop back into Verdansk. All your favorite locations are back along with the new map so get ready for those long firefights in the stadium and the chaos that ensues at Superstore which also received a little love from the recent updates. You will also notice a few new modes before you drop into Verdansk as there will now be a Casual Battle Royale mode and a Ranked mode so we are finally separating those super sweats from players who are looking for a more fun-focused experience.

Best POI Updates and Changes in Verdansk 2025

Although Verdansk has been rebuilt and returned to Warzone there are still a few new things you might have noticed have changed. A few locations have been changed completely whereas a few such as the Superstore have gained new areas to explore and loot. Overall, depending on your place style there are a key few areas I would recommend to give yourself the best advantage at winning. If you are looking for a high-paced paced action packed start to your round or just are a close-quarter battle-loving player Superstore is going to be a great spot for you to land. Whether you land on the roof and drop in or land directly inside the store it is going to be instant action the second you land so knowing the lay of the land is crucial. Superstore now has an additional basement level which contains all new loot and routes to explore but also opens up a whole new area to set up the perfect ambush. Anyone looking for close-quarter combat will be landing here at least once and it can also be a great place to get experience with multi-team fights for players who want more practice. 

Another location with a few updates is one of the top spots for snipers who are looking to drop in and land in a spot with excellent vantage points. The biggest change here is the rooftop is now sealed (again) but ziplines have been added along with other access points. The best strategy for Stadium is to pre-plan your land here along with your team or come with plenty of equipment for you to hunker down and set up your sniper nest. As a whole, there are many more access points or ascenders to be found in Verdansk so vertical gameplay will be a lot easier. This gives snipers and those who like a slower pace of play the chance to set up in new flank points or catch moving players off guard. It also means there are more ways for a sniper to be taken down so making sure you are rotating positions to stay hidden or making sure your teammates are covering your back. The Promenade which was originally the East and West Promenade has merged and is adjacent to the Train Station. This location will be an end-game hot zone but has plenty of loot and cover to allow for long drawn-out firefights where players need to keep their eyes and ears open for any third parties looking to ambush. The streamlined layout of the new Promenade is also great for teams looking to quickly move through an area without getting stuck or pinned down while navigating the urban layout.

The updates to Verdansk were much needed and have been well received by the community as shown by Warzone hitting a surge of players online since the new map was released. There are still opportunities for future updates and more additions such as a rotating train which has been teased by devs so more changes to come.
